News From the Farm
June 14, 2010
Hello From the Owasso Tree and Berry Farm;
The blackberries are ripening right on schedule. We are now open for picking!! So far the berries have been large, sweet and juicy. The rain has been a great help.
For some reason our thorned varities are all ripening at the same time this year, resulting in a more plentifull supply early in the season. You can see from our
photo gallery how our patch is mowed and berries are in pruned rows, which makes for much easier picking.
We had a great opening day Saturday, June 12th, with everyone getting all the berries they wanted, with plenty left for our next picking day.
Buckets are furnished with cartons to transport berries home. Most of our picking hours are in the morning when most days are somewhat cooler, berries are firmer and easier to handle.
Our hours are 7am-12noon, Tuesdays & Thursdays, and 7am-4pm Saturdays.
If you have any questions or need additional information, give us a call, (918) 272-9445.

See you at the farm,
